merry christmas everyone! merry christmas movie house!
it's great being able to watch the kids get excited about santa coming and tomorrow morning will be even better when they see that we effectively cleaned out two major department stores. (many others were with only few remainders)
my dad, gina, and i got lily some pretty cool things. i figure if it lights up and plays music then i should be good. got her a princess book... a little advanced but i like reading to her. now if I can remember how to read...
this was just a nightmare all around... my recovery... fighting the courts... running behind on bills... it's made this year's festivities a little less... well, festive. i know i'm doing so much better and i'll just keep doing what i'm doing. i'm a good man. a bit broken in places, but time heals all wounds. and i'm healing quickly.
still i know that when i see her next and i'm reading her the new book all those stressors will just fade away. they always do.
next year's resolution... to give lily a beautiful, comfortable, stress free year. to make sure i'm a stone that she can rely on. to not slip backwards at all.
i can promise this.
i spent a long time ashamed and guilty for a condition i couldn't help and emotions that clouded my better judgement. it's something i'll fight forever i'm sure. but i'm taking the active steps... i'm doing my best everyday. time is really the only factor. and as time passes...
everything changes. things will yield... predicitions will come and pass.... and in the end we'll be left with what we're working for.
i'm working for you lily girl.
