i can't believe two guys from liverpool could really write such awesome lyrics.
it's easy to get lost in the depths of music. it's mood altering, inspiring, uplifting. it can calm and relax or in the case of death metal cause extreme violence and moshing.
the greatest thing about music is the message. sometimes it's subtle. sometimes it's obvious. no matter how well hidden the meaning may be discovering it is no less profound.
music in relation to personal experience either brings happiness or frustration. sometimes remembering moments where a particular song was relevant can be discouraging. like a song shared with an ex.
i was lucky a few weeks back. i found an old cd that travis and i had made for a trip years ago... back when i was still in high school. listening to the songs we had jammed to was pretty excellent. especially "Scotty Doesn't Know" by Lustra.
i will always listen to music... to inspire my written word... to bring peace when my mind is cluttered... and just to rock out.
